(Rainy) Day on [my] Rooftop:

the pitter patter of

[my] Father’s footsteps

slip through solemn notes

of Earl Sweatshirt

(Raindrops) running on the rooftop

Become a dripping liquid metronome

(rain) pressed up

on the glass.

looking in

offers a different perspective.

(Raindrops) falling from the rooftop

Dripping

Liquid

Metronome

perched here [I] look out to

(rain)clouds that

sing whispering notes of soft bullets.

Wet torrents (of rain) loom

as [my] Father cleans the gutters

                (rain)

          dripping

      (liquid)

     Metronome

Seedlings sprout from my cracked tiles

Who

in their senectitude

crepitate under [my] weight

    (liquid)

Met

           Ro

        No

                 me

Here on [my] rooftop

I embrace the cataclysm to come

Under the umbrage of

(rain)clouds

I find Ataraxia in change
